Endorsements Are Flowing In!
Annie Lee Keyes
Meet Annie Lee Keyes, the FIRST African-America Administrator in the Clay County School System. I am PROUD to carry her endorsement for Clay County Commissioner District 3.
Dr. Robert Cowie
Chairman of Mercy Support Services and Resident of District 3 for 39 years. Thank you Dr. Cowie for your support!
Clay County native Donna Drake. Such an enormous compliment to be compared to Captain Blalock. Thank you!
"I was born and raised in Orange Park, and my roots run deep in Clay. My dad was Captain Hal Blalock, a deputy sheriff for Clay County from 1966 to 1986. He helped to develop programs such as the Clay Community Relations Program, Bike Program for the Sheriffs Boys Ranch, Mounted Patrol/Reserves, and many more. He was a hardworking, fair, and innovative Deputy. Connie has many attributes that my Dad possessed and one which stands out, she loves her community and wants to make a difference and leave this world a better place. I’ve witnessed many changes that Connie has been instrumental in here in Clay County. I knew from listening to her story about the environmental pollution issues in Georgia she championed that it wouldn’t be long before Connie would find a cause in Clay County where she could make a difference. I saw her firsthand working with a community action group that led her to become Councilwoman and then Mayor. Like my Dad, she has blazed a trail not familiar in Orange Park and Clay. She has worked endless hours to make a difference, even with opposition. I know if my Dad were here he would support and vote for Connie and I hope you will too!"
Past President of the Rotary Club of Orange Park. Thank you Bill!
As a resident of the Town of Orange Park, I have had the opportunity to see firsthand the Leadership of Connie Thomas. First as a Council Woman and then as our Mayor. And I am well aware of her efforts to make the Town of Orange Park one of the Premier communities in which to live. Also, as two Rotarians we have had the opportunity to work together on issues that help provide needed services to residents of Clay County as well as residents of the Town of Orange Park.
Now, the citizens or Clay County have the unique opportunity of having this professionally qualified leader represent them on our County Commission. Connie will bring a wealth of experience in Government and represent the interests of District 3 as well as all the Citizens of Clay County.
I hope you will join me in supporting Ms. Thomas, either by mail or early voting or at the polls on Election Day.

"Extremely proud to support Orange Park High School alum, Ms. Connie Thomas, for Clay County Commissioner. She cares about Orange Park and Clay County and is willing to go the extra mile to support our students. I personally saw this first hand as she stood up for our district’s unaccompanied youth (homeless population) by helping to gather supports for resources to bridge the gap towards graduation and beyond. Amazing leader and special individual!"
President of OPAA. We appreciate your support Mandi!
"When it comes down to the people, there is truly no better choice than Connie Thomas! Connie is actively engaged in creating a firm foundation of bright opportunities for the youth in our community. Connie shows up where others have not! As a parent, coach, and District 3 resident, the choice is an easy one for me. Connie is a true, down-to-earth servant to the public!"
