Clay County Schools and Library System
Education, Access and Public Crossroads - Connie is a great advocate for the academic success of our Clay County Schools. As a graduate of Orange Park High School (Class of 79!) before going on to higher education, she is grateful for the quality education she received and endeavors to do everything she can to lift the academic future of our students in Clay County. She has visited the schools and our local library to read to students and to hold mock Town Council Meetings, expanding students’ vision of their opportunities and promoting strong civic values.
Connie is also a great believer in libraries as a critical public resource: beyond the inherent value of books, periodicals, and video and audio assets, libraries provide access to the internet for those without home connections and constitute one the few remaining truly public crossroads where residents of every stripe and interest can get together for meetings, discussions, presentations, and even celebrations.
