Protecting and Serving Those Who Protect and Serve Us
First Responders – As a mental health professional Connie has a unique perspective when it comes to the role of First Responders! Having worked on issues side by side with those who run into danger without asking questions only to save, she wants to do all she can to make sure that our First Responders are always well equipped and that we are ever mindful of the long term implications of their service on their physical and mental health. She has been a staunch advocate of these protections at both federal and local levels.
Veterans and Active Servicemembers – As a military family and a mental health provider for veterans and active military, Connie understands the many issues that impact our military community. She was a strong voice advocating for the new Outpatient VA Clinic coming to Clay County (sponsored by Representative Ted Yoho) and has attended many functions at NAS Jacksonville to honor those that serve our nation. And it is another reason why she wants to make sure that the new Black Creek Trail Biking/Pedestrian pathway is completed so that it gives another outlet for exercise and transportation for those in service.
